Peak to Peak embodies many of our core beliefs about
life transitions.
As native
Coloradoans who have lived along the Front Range for most of our lives, our
sense of place is deeply connected to the majestic peaks of the Rocky
Mountains. From them we have garnered some fundamental principles about
life.
Colorado
contains 54 mountains with summits at least 14,000 feet above sea level –
collectively known as the Fourteeners. Each mountain holds its own hidden
treasures, but together they represent a diverse group of experiences for those
who choose to climb them. Some are easy to ascend; you can drive to the
top of Pikes
Peak or Mount
Evans. Others
may require special equipment and technical climbing skills; Crestone
Peak is considered
one of the most difficult climbs in the state. All of them require some
sort of preparation to make it to the top successfully, and even then, no two
ascents are the same.
Peak to Peak
Consulting exists to coach
you through the process of identifying which mountain you want to climb first,
preparing you for a successful ascent, and supporting you as you make your
climb. We cannot climb the mountain for you, but we can help you discover
your path.
Peak to Peak also represents our belief that we move
from experience to experience and that each transition has high points and low
points. You can climb several Fourteeners in a day, but you’ll have to
drop into a saddle before you can reach the next summit. These
transitions, in life or on the mountain, are both natural and necessary. They provide the texture of our lives.
We also
recognize that sometimes we get stuck; we reach the top of a mesa rather than a
mountain. Or we discover that we are not quite ready to reach the top of
our chosen mountain. We may have been turned away by something out of our
control (like the weather), by our inexperience, or by our lack or preparation.
At Peak to Peak
Consulting, we will do our
best to help you do yours, to help you to a peak performance.
Finally,Peak
to Peak represented the
geographical nature of our company when we founded it. Krista lived in Colorado Springs, “nestled at the
foot of Pikes
Peak,” while Joyce lived in
Loveland with a spectacular view of the Indian Peaks, the Mummy Range, and the
Never Summer Peaks, a panorama dominated by Longs
Peak.
